Chris Jones, Prif Swyddog Gweithredol Care & Repair Cymru.

The pandemic has caused significant challenges for older people. This includes in relation to where they have lived- often shielding, self-isolating, “staying at home, and even with restrictions easing, spending much more time at home due to the fear of being exposed to Covid 19.
This means that older people living in poor housing have been spending even more time there– whether needing housing adaptations to enable them to live independently, cold homes needing insulation new boilers, increased energy prices meaning fuel bills have become more unmanageable for those in fuel poverty, housing in serious disrepair such as dampness, leaking roofs, rotten windows having an even greater impact on health and well-being.
The Conference will explore these issues, and more, through a mix of plenaries and workshops, with lots of opportunities for delegates to participate, discuss and ask questions. We look forward to welcoming you to our very first virtual conference
